Immaculate

An Immaculate watch is in outstanding condition and shows virtually no signs of wear.

• No visible marks or scratches to the case, bezel, bracelet, or clasp

• Crystal is flawless

• Movement functions perfectly

• Typically freshly polished or only worn a handful of times

These examples are as close to “new” as possible for their age.

Excellent

An Excellent condition watch shows minimal signs of careful wear.

• Very light marks may be present under close inspection

• No significant dents, chips, or deep scratches

• Crystal and bezel are flawless

• Movement functions exactly as intended

Very Good

A Very Good watch shows visible signs of wear consistent with normal use.

• Light to moderate surface scratches may be present

• No structural damage to the case, bezel, or bracelet

• Crystal may show minor wear but no major cracks or chips

• Fully functional and tested

Good

A Good condition watch shows noticeable cosmetic wear but remains fully functional.

• Visible scratches, marks, or wear consistent with regular use

• No impact on timekeeping or mechanical performance

• Crystal may show wear but remains intact

• Ideal for buyers who prioritise value over cosmetic perfection

All watches sold by Solent Timepieces are supplied with a 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated.

Where a watch is still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, we may recommend using the manufacturer’s warranty in the first instance.

The warranty does not cover theft or loss of your watch, normal wear and tear, water damage, accidents caused by mishandling, mistreatment or negligence or any purposeful damage. Your warranty will be invalidated in the event that a third party carries out any tests or work on your watch without prior consultation from Solent Timepieces.

There are several reasons why you should consider buying a pre-owned luxury watch. As it’s no secret, some luxury brands have long waiting lists for newer models due to high demands and limited production. Purchasing pre-owned allows buyers to bypass these waiting periods and receive the watch they desire faster. 

Not only is buying a pre-owned watch a great investment piece, but any depreciation is likely gone and the price will have settled at a true market value. 

Some collectors are interested in obtaining limited edition or vintage models that are no longer in production, buying pre-owned is the only way to acquire these rare pieces.

To help protect our customers and Solent Timepieces against fraud, identity verification is required for all online purchases and remote card payments.

We use Yoti, a specialist digital identity verification provider, to carry out these checks securely.

You will be sent a secure link to complete the verification, which will usually involve providing a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence, and taking a quick selfie to confirm your identity.

The process is designed to confirm that the person completing the transaction is the genuine customer and helps us reduce the risk of fraudulent payments and unauthorised card use.

Your identity check is completed securely through Yoti and must be successfully completed before we can proceed with an online purchase or remote card payment.

We can ship all watches around the whole of the UK. Most mainland locations will be sent on an insured, next day delivery service however, some locations may take up to three days. 

For international deliveries please contact us directly.

Yes, if the watch is being collected from our showroom or personally delivered we will size the watch in person making sure you get the perfect fit.

If ordering online just let us know your wrist size and we will aim to get it the exact size prior to delivery.

Purchases made online may be exchanged or refunded within 14 days of purchase. All purchases must be returned with all packaging, paperwork, accessories, tags and warranty cards that were provided to the customer when delivered. Refunds will be issued on satisfaction of returned goods.

Watches may be provided with a tamper-proof returns sticker which allows the goods to be tried on and examined. Returns will not be accepted if this is damaged or removed.

We offer two different options when you are looking to sell your watch. We can either purchase it directly from you for a pre agreed price or we can offer a consignment where we sell the watch on your behalf.

Selling your watch on a consignment will get you a higher amount, however it is not an immediate payment like a direct purchase. Once your watch has been sold and cleared funds have been received, payment will be made in accordance with the payment terms agreed in your consignment agreement.
